ICT coordinator

Position: ICT coordinator (ICTC)
Department & location: Program Unit (PU)
Report to: program um\nit manager (PUM) line manager and ICTM (dotted line manager)
Purpose: this job role ensures the innovation and effective use of ICT in plan’s work at the PU
Salary: 2055SDG

Dimensions of Role:
The ICTC manages the PU ICT infrastructure, Information Security and ICT4D implementation
In program delivery.
No team or posts report to ICTC.
The ICTC does riot hold any budget or approve any spending.
Typical Responsibilities - Key End Results of Position:
1. Provides first line support and network administration network, seiver support and troubleshooting for corporate systems; to ensure ICT operations at the PU continue smoothly. Success indicators are
properly installed and maintaining ICT systems and IT Infrastructure
2. Prepare ICT4D plan for PU to Integrate Pair, ICT4D strategy into program implementation.
Indicator for success is that ICT Is integrated into PU programs implementatioa
3. Participates in System/Project Rollout, testing and certification to improve accessibility of Plan ICT Infrastructure to users in the PU. Indicator for success is that ICT system rollout is smooth and staff members are proficient in using any new systems.
4. Ensure Plan IT policy, procedures and guidelines are implemented effectively to protect Plan from legal liability, protect PU staff from IT security threats and prevent fraudulent activities by PU staff.
Indicators for success are property implemented IT procedures and guidelines at PU level.
5. Efficient IT Infrastructure to reduce wastage of IT resources and ensure return on investment of ICT resource Indicators for success are IT SLA targets are met.
6. Timely IT disaster recovery to ensure PU IT business continuity. Indicator of success is that ICT systems uptime is 99%.
7. Ensure adherence to corporate standards, design and architectures. Indicators for success are the proper Implementation and use of PU computers and network devices.
8. Complete a monthly ICT report on to initiatives in the PU (including la development in the communities and partners for monitoring progress of implementation of ICT4D strategy.
9. Complete a monthly Network security imp1emeçatjon and performance report for monitoring la security incidents in the PU.
10. Complete monthly ICT Systems Management report for monitoring utilization of Plan approved software on PU computers.
11. Complete an up to date quarterly hardware and monitoring utilization of ICT
hardware and software resources.

Dealing with Problems:
1. Managing a mix of IT technologies; productivity software, Plan corporate systems, Windows
server and desktop operating systems, network management and troubleshooting/escalating
Internet connectivity issues to ISP.
2. Understanding program goals and linking with appropriate IT technology for sustainable interventions.
3. Repackaging complex technological concepts for communities, PU staff for buy-In.
Creativity is required to find solutions to IT software/hardware conflicts, balancing IT needs of PU staff with available resources and also finding the right combination of technologies to use in ICT4Ð interventions. Technical oversight of ICT4DiIs provided by ICTM while PUMT/PUM/UPM advises on programmatic issues.

Skills specific to the ICTC role:
1. IT technical skills in infrastructure and/or applications
2. Understanding of Plan’s business processes and strategic objectives
3. Proven knowledge of Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, Exchange server and communication Technologies.

Qualifications and Experience
1. Degree or Diploma in Computer Studies or equivalent with 3 years’ experience.
2. Relevant professional qualification and management courses.

Moderate lifting required, with frequent visits to the field sites.

Low contact with children
