Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- B. S. Degree in Electrical Engineering with special subject for power transmission and distribution.
- Special courses/training on subject of protection relays engineering and applicable is desirable.
- Eleven (11) years experience related to engineering and/or construction/project management in electric public utility construction involving high voltage transmission/substation projects, with emphasis in design, field application, and projects execution and commissioning.
- Conversant in site testing and commissioning of protection relays, electrical plant testing of high voltage substations and transmission projects.
- Well experienced in protection, testing and commissioning of transmission equipment (overhead line cables, power transformers, substation equipments, etc.) Very good principles in control and switchgear of MV and HV systems, all CT & VT related tests, schematic drawings, etc.
- Knowledgeable with international codes and standards; IEC, IEEE, ANSI and SEC technical standards and specifications.
- Must be familiar with most of relay manufacturers like ABB, AREVA, VA TECH, SIEMENS, General Electric, MITSUBISHI, TOSHIBA for their products of past and current productions towards field commissioning testing and putting into final service.
- Must be conversant in testing of substation automation system from different manufacturers.
- Must be excellent in both oral and written communication skills in English language.
- Knowledgeable in operation of personal computer with application of Microsoft base program such as MS Office, etc.
- Must posses valid SAG drivers license or valid driving license from country of origin.
- Special courses/training on subject of protection relays engineering and applicable is desirable.
