Course Description
This course gives a technical overview of drilling operations. It develops an understanding of the WHAT, WHY, and HOW of each well drilling practice. Participants will learn what can be done within open-hole and cased wells as they execute reservoir management.

· Overall drilling practices and Language of drilling.· Reservoir rock and fluid properties.· Rigs & rig equipment.· Drilling string components & design.· Bits.· Drilling fluids & hydraulics.· Rig operation.· MWD.· Drilling risks, Hole problems & stuck pipe.· Cores and coring.· Casing design & installation· Primary cementing.· Wellhead & trees.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course candidates will be able to understand all well drilling operations, and equipment, also they will be familiarized with the hydraulics of the operation.
Who should attend?
Technical, field, service, support, and supervisory personnel . Anyone interacts with drilling engineers such as technical supervisors and technical service personnel.
